Partners with DevXchange
We are very pleased to have partnered with DevXchange International which is a registered Canadian charity that was founded in July of 2006. DevXchange is an association of volunteers who pursue a new approach to international development:
- Development that's a two-way exchange. - Development that advances social innovation with an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Development that engages professional volunteers, not just their services and financial support, but their experience and expertise as project strategists and coaches.
DevXchange facilitates the linking of Canadian volunteers (including those from ethnic communites, recent university graduates and
retirees) with indigenous organizations and their humanitarian initiatives in third world countries. They provide management and
technical support to these volunteers as well as tax-deductible receipts for their donors. They charge no overhead so 100% of the funds
raised for a project go to that project.
Through our partnership with DevXchange the Livingstone Performing Arts Foundation is able to join a group of other Canadian "humanitarians" who are similarily implementing projects in health, water, agro-forestry, income generation and education to assist in varioius parts of the third world. In short - DevXchange helps people help people!
