Was quite pleased with the results of yesterday's judging. Cookie, my junior broken tort took BOS so that was a huge win for me. Thought I was winning my first trophy at first. The lady at the trophy desk handed me a trophy and I got so excited but then she realized it was for BOB, oh well:) I still think Cookie doesn't have a very good head but the judges must have really liked her body!

Romeo, my sr. broken seal buck, took 3rd out of 10 broken senior bucks. I still don't like his flat crown but hopefully I'll produce better than him soon. He is still the delight in my rabbitry though and as friendly as can be! Checkers was in the same class and placed just behind Romeo in fourth place.

Desire only placed               and the judge said she was long in shoulder. I really don't see that, but oh well, she just had babies two weeks ago and we'll be sure to show her again, mabye in December.

My broken black buck placed second out of ten junior bucks. I knew he was nice:) My friend Michelle now owns him and I hope she is able to improve her herd with him.  He does have very nice bone on him and nice topline and depth.

Corrine, my solid senior doe didn't place as  well as I though she would. I love everythng about her. She is a full 4 lbs. now and judge said she had weak shoulders, which she does, but everything else about her rocks!

It was fun to see friends there and socialize with the crowd. Willie and Andy went with me so it was fun to have them there too!

Wisconsin State Convention, Weyauwega 9/6/08

A bunny that Lives here (now owned by Juliet Ladewig), Little Way's Desire,  won BOV today and we were all so happy that she did so well..Especially after that scare two weeks ago when I left her in the exercise pen and she escaped! Luckily we found her the next night (around Midnight!).

My daughter Eileen's buck, Romeo (full brother to Desire above) did quite well and took second out of 10 broken junior bucks.  We will hang onto him as I think he has a lot to offer. Short crown, but we can work on that:)

My doe Clementine (orange doe)didn't place out of 22 solid junior does in open, but she has a killer body and I will be keeping her also. She just doesn't have the good crown and ears, but again, something we can work with.

Camelot's Chloe (broken senior doe) took fourth out of eight does but not bad for an older doe who has given many litters.

My buck Checkers took fourth out of eight broken senior bucks. He is young yet and will develop that body more. He does need more bone, so someday I may keep a son who is better than him if one comes along.

Sofia Ladewig showed Cookie, her broken tort jr. doe, but only placed 5th out of 8 does. Cookie needs more bone and is quite narrow. Nice head and ears. We may sell her soon and keep a daughter out of Desire for her if we get lucky enough:)

Show Results

State Line rabbit breeders Association, January 20th, 2008

A cold day to be out. -5 degrees, but it was fun. My biggest win was

David's Harley took third out of 21 bucks in the first show. Mike Avesing Judging.

Little Way's Blue Belle took fifth out of 19 does in first show and fifth of 16 in second show under John Grimm. She just turned four months old so this was a nice showing for her. I love her beautiful color. She is Harley's daughter and the Dam is Little Way's Tribello who is out of Camelot's Top Notch and Style's Basra ( a blue tort doe who passed on the blue color to Tribello who now carries it on.....So..It was a "Harley Day"...

Some other wins were by my buck Little Way's Lenny who took third out of 12 in the first show and second out of nine in the second show. He is just four days short of turning senior, so was shown as a junior. He has one leg already and was hoping to get a second, but he couldn't do it today!

Lakeland Area Rabbit Breeders Assoc. Elkhorn, WI 2007

Little Way's Spookie..(One GC Leg).Junior Black Buck..took first place out of five animals with 3 exhibitors showing.

Jefferson BAdger Show on April 12-13th

Corinne took a fifth place and Checkers took a third place. I only showed four bunnies today...
