Bigger, Faster, Stronger!

Strength and Conditioning Workouts @ LHS: Mon-Tues-Thurs-Fri...3:30-4:30 Weight Room - 4:30-5:00 Conditioning...Starts on Monday, 8/3 - Finishes on Friday, 8/21

Check this out... In addition to LHS, there are many gyms in the area for our athletes to join during the summer months. Anytime Fitness in Acton and Devens, Boost Fitness in Westford, and Nashoba Valley Fitness in Ayer are all good choices. For a more structured program, Athlete's Edge in Littleton and CATZ in Acton offer excellent opportunities. If possible, joining a gym is an athlete's best option during the summer months. A gym membership will allow an athlete to fit workouts into their schedule at whatever time is convenient.

Not to be overlooked... Strength training is the single most important off-season training activity for a football player. The coaching staff encourages every player to participate in year-round strength training. During the summer months, our players should complete strength training workouts 4-6 times per week. Each player should partner-up with a compatible teammate for the summer. Try to match-up with a buddy with similar ability and strength.

Lastly... All football players should try to enroll in Mr. Lynn's Fitness and Conditioning class in the fall. Enrolling in this class will provide each player the opportunity to maintain their strength during the season. Varsity level players should not be taking Sports and Games II class during the season.
