We are located in Northwest Arkansas, near a little town called Everton. I have raised percentage Nubians since I was a little girl. My husband and I purchased our first purebred Nubian doe, Mt. Pleasure Honeycomb in 2004. We maintain around 20 Nubians a year. We only get to attend a few shows a year, because you only get so many vacation days. We have done well at all of the show that we have been to, and we have met some really nice goat breeders. Nubians are a blast to show and we look forward to showing them more in the future.
Our bloodlines mainly consist of Copper-Hill, Dechant-Colony, Floral-Hill, Goddard-Farm, Manges-Colony, Mt. Pleasure, and Prairie Acres. We strive in raising quality Purebred Nubians, in the show ring and in the milk bucket, for many years. We are trying our hardest to maintain the unique features of the Nubians while maintaining our milk production. Nubians are unique in their own way, and we especially love the long ears and the Roman nose. They are so affectionate and lovable. There isn't a Nubian that I haven't fallen in love with yet!
Keeping our herd healthy is very important to us. We want our Nubians to live long and healthy lives. In 2005 we started testing our herd for CAE annually through Washington Animal Disease Diagnosis Laboratory at Washington State University. Our bucks and does have been CAE Negative since 2005! We also do CD&T vaccinations annually. Our does are hand milked twice a day, and all births are attended. The kids are taken from the dam at birth and bottle feed three times a day until they are two months old and then twice a day until they are three months old. The kids are feed a 14-16% Protein grain mixture, free excess alfalfa/orchard hay, fresh water, grassy fields, and free choice minerals. The does are feed a 14-18% Protein grain mixture, free excess of alfalfa/orchard hay, fresh water, grassy fields, and free choice minerals. The bucks are feed a 14-16% Protein grain mixture, alfalfa/orchard hay, free excess of fresh water, grassy fields, and free choice minerals.
Thanks for your interest in our herd and come back often!!
