For thousands of years glass beads have fascinated people in clutures all over the world. The earliest glass beads were reserved for royalty. The exact origin of glass is unknown but it is believed to have been discovered in Egypt around 1400 BC. Today handmade beads are created one by one over a beadmakers torch flame with canes of different colored glass and an assortment of tools. Each bead has to be carefully annealed in a kiln to assure a long life.
My beads are made mainly with Moretti glass from Italy. I use several different enamels , frits, lusters, powders, silver foil, ndaglo dust, ect.. to create my beads. My desings range from the traditional to the completely WhImSiCaL and uNpReDiCtAbLe!
The following pages will contain some of my current beads for sale. I welcome and will consider any special orders. Please feel free to email me with any questions you might have or to place an order.
