So who are we? It is imporatant to understand that we are not part of the Army. We are a uniformed youth organisation sponsored by the Army. This means that the Army provides uniforms, equiptment and buildings for us to do our training and we operate on military lines. So the training you recieve will be of high standard, but there is no obligation for you to join the army at any time. We expect you to turn up regulary and to act responsibly but if you do decide that being an Army Cadet is not for you, all you have to do is to tell us, and return all the uniform and equiptment we will loan you  (free of charge!). However, once you have seen what we have to offer, we are sure you wil stay with the ACF. You can be in the ACF from the age of 12 right through until you leave school and beyond.
