Linda Peterson Loegel has published three books and is working on two more. She has been published in various anthologies, her college literary journal, Yesterday's Magazette, Good Old Days, and Country Woman. She is president of the Alpine Writers’ Guild and on the board of the San Diego Writers and Editors Guild.
Linda is a Professional Legal Secretary, having received her certification of PLS in 1980 in Boston, MA. She is Past President of the Greater Danbury (CT) Legal Secretaries Association, Past President of the El Cajon-East County (CA) Legal Secretaries Association; was named Legal Secretary of the Year for the Greater Danbury (CT) Legal Secretaries Association in 1981; and has self-published a secretarial handbook entitled, "How to Increase Your Secretarial Potential--A Hands-On Approach To a More Professional You."
Linda graduated from Grossmont Community College with an AA and Honors in English at age 54. One month later she received her "MRS" when she married Fred Loegel.
Linda has gone parasailing in Mazatlan, Cabo San Lucas, Hawaii, and San Diego, all after the age of 50. She went skydiving at the age of 61. She has been fortunate to have flown over a volcano in Hawaii and glaciers in Alaska, visited Stonehenge, marvelled at the Sistine Chapel, and has had lunch on the Isle of Capri. She has two daughters, Tammy Sue and Cyndi Jo, and a son, Michael, and a grandson, Monterey, all of whom live in Connecticut. She and Fred live in Garner, NC. Linda and Fred recently sold their restaurant called Fred's Old Fashioned Burgers.
