Lilygun

Today was the day I almost left this life to enter another dimension but Fate had another idea for me.  I didn't pass on, I got to stay and I survived my brain operation and came back to life with all my senses.  I was a lucky one.

I admit, the last 3 years or so that followed were the hardest years of my life and I wouldn't wish what I've endured on my worst enemy but I also wouldn't change it either.  Only now can I say that.  It's part of me and my story and has changed my character for the better.

At times I still find it hard to talk about and sometimes I have painful reminders but now I have an understanding about life that I didn't have before.  How precious it is.  In that sudden moment, when faced with losing everything, you wish you had the chance to do anything one last time.

This morning I was remembering the trail of events from the beginning to my full recovery, every moment as though it were yesterday but that's just today because I don't want to look back, I want to go forward.

Life can be a bitch and we have no control over anything external but we can control ourselves.  We can choose to fight and be positive in the face of adversity and rise up to the challenges we meet.  True elegance is the manifestation of an independent mind.  We decide what to do next.  Make your own happiness and don't wait for someone else to make you happy.  I think happiness is infectious; you can spread it around like the flu.

I find it hard to express myself... give me an orchestra and you'll know how I feel but to my dearest friends and family whom I love and cherish, the wonderful people helping Lilygun and everyone out there who cares, you are my stars on this earth.

Massive thanks to everyone who came to Gotham last weekend. It was so lovely to see people coming out in force to support us. The response to Lilygun has been overwhelming and we're really feeling the good vibes!

It was such a cool gig for us to play and we 're so lucky that we could perform with AJ and Robin, they really made the performance special for us. It was the first time we ever played the second to last song called "Spit Me Sideways" live and thank f*#k we pulled it off!  ;0)

As we mentioned before, we're not playing live again for a while so we can focus on recording our first EP. The song list will be Peace Of Mind, Conversations, My Ways and Spit Me Sideways. We can't wait to get started...
