About me and my work.
Merry Meet!
I'm Lilly Moon and I live with my daughter and three cats in the ancient County of Durham, North of England.
I was born into a family of spiritualist mediums and healers and I have been a practising Pagan Witch for over 25 years, following the path of Goddess and Jungian spirituality. I am active in the local Pagan community, founding the County Durham Pagans group, as local co-ordinator for the Pagan Federation and insigating a local moot. First attuned to Reiki in 1998, I became a Reiki master in 2003.
I studied art and ceramics at a local college in the late 80s and, along side my work as a counsellor and psychotherapist, I have been making and occasionally selling pagan related crafts and art work for a number of years including Pagan prayer and meditation beads.
When my mother passed over to the Summerlands last year, I inherited her sewing machine, I had never tried sewing before, so I blew the dust off my grandmothers old sewing book, which had been sitting untouched on my bookshelf and I began to experiment. I was soon inspired to use my newly found sewing skills in conjunction with my love of the Goddess and created my first blessing doll. I found others were drawn to this doll, friends could often be caught holding her, and so I began to make dolls for friends and aquaintences.Tentatively I put one on e-bay and I soon found that there was a demand for these special dolls and I have begun to develop a good reputation as a Goddess doll artist. Amazingly I even had a doll sell for over £1,000!(http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=001&item=110012691775&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESO%3AIT&rd=1)
Since I sold my first doll I have developed the basic design to what you see today and they are still evolving. I continue to make prayer beads and more elaborate individual Goddess Art dolls.
As well as the work available on my site I also take commissions for individual pieces.
I hope my craftwork will prove to be valuable tools in the pursuit of self and spiritual growth for others, as they have been for me.
