I was induced unsuccessfully on the 27th of November.  I was due on December 19th but my Doctor said that I was 1 centimeter dilated and I waited for a week the baby wasn't ready to come so I stayed in my nice warm home.  Then we went back to the doctor’s office on December 1st for my regular check-up. He did a rubber glove examination and said I was 3 centimeter dilated and the baby should come anytime soon.

After my appointment, we went to the store and buy some stuffs for our dinner. But I feel uncomfortable. The contractions became intense. We went home and it was less than 3 minutes interval. We called the doctor and asked him if we can go to the hospital and he said, we should wait for an hour and see what happen.

I was now 2 weeks early.  But the doctor said that it was safe to have a baby by 38 weeks and so. At 8:00 o’clock in the evening, my husband called the doctor and the hospital that we‘re coming. So, the doctor sent me over to labor and delivery by 9:00 o’clock in the evening. The nurse checked my cervix and said that I was 5 centimeter dilated. But I had a very slow contractions. At 10:00 in the evening the doctor would like to break my water so I could come. They started Pitocine around 10:30 o’clock and by 11:30 the doctor came to broke my water.  They check again at 12:00 in the morning but still no change. I was planning to have no pain medications but labor had been pretty hard for the last 4 hours for sleep deprived from the last two nights so I asked for an Epidural.

I was able to sleep after they put an Epidural and woke up at 12:30 because the nurse checked my cervix. The nurse said that I was 8 centimeter dilated. The nurse said I should call her if I felt something different.  Despite of the pain, I managed to watch the television to entertain myself. We didn’t have any friends, family or relatives to help us during the labor. But I’m glad because the nurse are very nice and helpful to us.

By 2:00 o’clock in the morning, the nurse checked my cervix and I was now complete and I was ready to push.  The nurse helped me some techniques or positions in pushing. I tried pushing her for 2 hours but she didn’t come out. So the doctor talked to Lance and said that the baby has no way to come out because of her head. So they told him about two options - first, vaccum extraction and second, c-section. But Lance didn’t want to try the vaccum extraction and chose for c-section.

By 5:35 in the morning I was ready to go to the operating room. I was really scared. I was shaking so fast and I can’t help myself. At 6:15 in the morning, Lilillianna Rose Jenelle was born. I cried when I first heard her crying. I was very happy. I prayed to God and thanked Him for bringing her into our life!
