In the (Respiratory) home medical equipment arena the secrets to success are good community relationships, proficient billing staff, new or reliable equipment, and finally, great customer service.
We would like to help you with the last piece of the puzzle, great customer service. Our Respiratory Therapists on staff will follow up with your patients in a professional and courtesy manner. Here is how our system works; you send us 5-20 patient follow-up information sheets once a week. We have design a 5 minute questionnaire that will cover all of the important issues about their contact with your staff. We will send you a copy of our 10 questions asked, and their response. Any additional comments will be included in the report. All we require is a patient’s name, phone number, and equipment the patient was setup with. If there are special times they need to be called , please indicate those. This system is non-bias and gives you a true picture of your department’s performance.
Example of questions:
1) Was the medical staff on time and did he/she greet you? (Introduce themselves and the company name)
2) The medical equipment (Nebulizer, CPAP, and Oxygen) was it explained that the doctor ordered this piece of equipment?
3) Did the staff go over cleaning procedure?
4) General explanation of the medical condition and how each piece of equipment might help you?
One oxygen patient lost will pay for the service for one year. You can cancel the service at any time. The cost to you is available in 3 tiers:
1st Tier 5 or less patients a week cost per week 40.00
2nd Tier 6-10 patients a week cost per week 75.00
3rd Tier 11-20 patients a week cost per week 100.00

We recognize that communication between management and staff on health and safety issues is essential to an injury-free, productive workplace. This basic outline is designed to facilitate a continuous flow of safety and health information between management and staff in a form that is readily understandable and consists of one or more of the following checked items:
New worker orientation including a discussion of safety and health policies and procedures.
Regularly scheduled safety meetings.
Effective communication of safety and health concerns between workers and supervisors, including translation where appropriate.
A labor/management safety and health committee that meets regularly, prepares written
records of the safety and health committees meetings, reviews results of the periodic
scheduled inspections
Posted or distributed safety information.
A system for workers to anonymously inform management about workplace hazards.
I) ACCIDENT/EXPOSURE INVESTIGATIONS
1. Visiting the accident scene as soon as possible; 2. Interviewing injured workers and witnesses; 3. Examining the workplace for factors associated with the accident/exposure; 4. Determining the cause of the accident/exposure; 5. Taking corrective action to prevent the accident/exposure from reoccurring; and 6. Recording the findings and corrective actions taken. II) HAZARD CORRECTION
1) Unsafe or unhealthy work conditions, practices or procedures shall be corrected in a timely manner.
2) All such actions taken and dates they are completed shall be documented on the appropriate forms.
3) When an imminent hazard exists this cannot be immediately abated withoutendangering employee(s) and/or property, we will remove all exposed workers from the area except those necessary to correct the existing condition.
III) TRAINING
FIRST AID INSTRUCTIONS In all cases requiring emergency medical treatment, employees are instructed to immediately call, or have a co-worker call, to request emergency medical assistance. In addition they are told what to do until emergency medical assistance arrives, such as the following: WOUNDS Major: Large, deep and bleeding Stop the bleeding by pressing directly on the wound, using a bandage or cloth. Keep pressure on the wound until medical help arrives. BROKEN BONES Do not move the victim unless it is absolutely necessary. If the victim must be moved, "splint" the injured area. Use a board, cardboard, or rolled newspaper as a splint. BURNS Thermal (Heat) Rinse the burned area, without scrubbing it, and immerse it in cold water; do not use ice water. Blot dries the area and covers it using sterile gauze or a clean cloth. Chemical Flush the exposed area with cool water immediately for 15 to 20 minutes. This is not an all inclusive program , but it will help you get a great start towards being complaint with OSHA and state regulations.
LB757 passed September 9 , 1993 created by the Workplace Safety Program that all employers in Nebraska shall establish an effective written Injury Prevention Program to address all workers and all classes of workers.
