Welcome to my website. My name is Katherine but I go by Kit. This is my first attempt to do a website to chronicle my Weight Watcher's journey to health. Over the years I have had a weight problem and made many attempts to lose the weight and become healthy.
Then in January of 2003 I had a heart scare and had to have a cardiac catherization done. The doctors told me I had 'missed a bullet' and unless I took control of my weight, I would most likely be dead from a heart attack or heart disease in a matter of years. THAT was a wake-up call.
I joined Weight Watchers on January 2, 2003. Since then I have learned (and am learning) to change my lifestyle by incorporating exercise and healthy eating into my daily life.
I began this journey needing to lose 116 lbs --my start weight of 286!
(I'm 5'10" tall) . I am now down 80 lbs with 36 more to go! I am happier than I have been in years and healthier. I have more confidence, more self-esteem and feel more empowered than ever in my adult life. I frequent the Weight Watchers website and am often seen on the 100+ board with a screen name of LIGHTDANCER7. If you see me there, give a shout. I will be updating this site frequently as I continue to journey to my goal and Lifetime WW status. My goal is to become a WW leader once Lifetime status is achieved.
I have to say thanks to the friends I have made along the way...the support of the WW boards, in particular Allison Jean and Moo,as well as my great leader Beth Barnes here in Atlanta and my Tuesday morning WW group...also known as the Tuesday Morning Warriors!! They are nothing short of a totally inspirational group. I also have a very special group of friends from a Yahoo list site I have been a member of for the length of this journey --Kim, Lisa, Daria, Suzanne, Karen, Shona -- there is no doubt in my heart that without their DAILY undying support, encouragement, shared laughs and tears I would not be as far down this road as I am. My family has also been a source of amazing support and encouragement to me...and I am thankful for their undying support and encouragement --my partner Joyce and our children -- they are the light of my soul.
Please stop by often and see my updates. I would also love to hear from y'all through email, and please remember to sign my guestbook before leaving!
Again thanks for stopping by and remember if I can do this, ANYONE can.
Bon Chance,
Kit
