FOOTPRINTS

One night a man had a dream...

He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord .Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene ,

he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand ; one belonged to him and the other to the Lord .

When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand.

He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints.

He also noticed that is happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.

This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it.

“ Lord , you said that once I decided to follow you, you’d walk with me all the way .

But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life there is only one set of footprints .

I don’t understand why, when I needed you most you would leave me “.

The Lord replied :

" My precious , precious child , I love you and I would never leave you.

During your times

of trial and suffering ,when you saw only one set of footprints,

it was then I carried you"

Was he a soldier or an Angel of God...............

This is a true story happened at the time of II world war, In 1949, Mr. John had just returned home from the war.

On that day every street and highway you could see soldiers in uniform hitchhiking home to their families, that was the custom at that time.

Sadly, the thrill of John's reunion with his family was soon overshadowed. John's mother became very ill and had to be hospitalized.

It was her kidneys effected, and the doctors told John that she needed a blood transfer immediately or she would not live through the night.

The problem was that her blood group was AB-, a very rare type even today hard to get, there were no blood banks or air flights to ship blood.

All the family members were tested, but not one member was a match.

So the doctors lost the hope; John left the hospital in tears to gather up all the family members, so that everyone would get a chance to tell his mother Good-bye.

As John was driving down the highway, he passed a soldier in uniform hitchhiking home to his family.

Deep in grief, He had no time at that moment to do a good deed.

Yet it was almost as if something outside himself pulled him to a stop, and he waited as the stranger climbed into the car.

John was too upset to even ask the soldier his name, but the soldier noticed his tears right away and inquired about him.

Through his tears, John told stranger that his mother was lying in a hospital dying because the doctors had been unable to locate her blood group,

AB-, and if they did not locate her blood group before nightfall, she would surely die. It got very quiet in the car for a moment.

Then this unidentified soldier extended his hand out to John, palm up. Resting in the palm of his hand were the tags from around his neck.

The blood group on the tags was AB-. The soldier told John to turn the car around and get him to the hospital.

John's mother lived until 1996, 47 years later, and to this day no one in his family knows the soldier's name.

But my John has often wondered, was he a soldier or an angel in uniform?

Sometimes, we never know who God will bring into our lives to carry out a special mission nor do we know whose lives God will touch.

Dear friends God is at work, never give the hope ...

God is so responsive that you can always reach Him.

He bends down and listens to your voice.

Psalm 4:3

You can be sure of this : The LORD set apart the godly for himself. The LORD will answer when I call to him.

The godly are those who are faithful and devoted to God.

David knew that God would hear him when he called and would answer him.

We, too, can be confident that God listens to and answers our prayers.

Sometimes we think that God will not hear us because we have fallen short of His high standards for holy living. But if we have trusted Christ for salvation, God has forgiven us and He will listen to us !

When you feel as though your prayers are bouncing off the ceiling, remember that as a believer you have been set apart by God and that He loves you.

He hears and answers every prayer ; although His answers may not always be as you expect !

Look at your problems in the light of God's power instead of looking at God in the shadow of your problems.

Great and Merciful Savior, we call out to You this day and ask for Your Glory to fill our hearts and lives.

Lord, help us to daily live KNOWING that You have heard each cry, held each tear that has fallen from our eyes. You answer our prayers and You always want what is best for each of us. Father , we thank You for loving us so much.

God be with us as we walk through this day. Remind us of Your presence in every situation that we face.

In Jesus ' Precious and Holy Name, Amen...

The death penalty is nothing more than legalized murder, or torture; a usless and obsolete notion,or an act that compounds one murder with another.

Thou shalt not kill. Exodus 20:13

State does not have right to take an individual’s life
Death penalty discriminates against the poor and minorities
Death penalty does not work as a general deterrent
Innocent people have been executed

For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment. JAMES 2,13

THE LORD IS GOOD !

THE LORD IS GOOD!

"Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him" (Psalm 34:8, NIV).

The psalmist declared, "Taste and see that the LORD is good" (Psalm 34:8, NIV). The reason is that he had tasted Him and found out that indeed the LORD is good. He highlighted his reasons as follows: he sought the LORD, and the LORD answered him; the LORD delivered him from all his fears; those who look to the LORD are radiant, and their faces are never covered with shame; the poor man called, and the LORD heard him; the LORD saved him out of all his troubles; the angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear the LORD, and He delivers them; blessed is the man who takes refuge in the LORD; and those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.

I have tasted and seen the goodness of God in my life. He has been so good to me. He always protects my family and me. He provides for us. He spares my life till this very moment. Indeed, the Lord is good to me!

Have you tasted the goodness of God? In what way can you testify that the LORD is good? Seek the LORD, fear Him and put your total trust in Him. He will demonstrate His goodness in your life.

"For the LORD is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations" (Psalm 100:5, NIV).

PRAYER

LORD, IF I HAVE BLAMED YOU FOR THINGS THAT HAVE HAPPENED IN MY LIFE,
SHOW ME SO I CAN CONFESS IT BEFORE YOU.
ENABLE ME TO LOVE MY ENEMIES AS YOU HAVE COMMANDED IN YOUR WORD.
TEACH ME TO BLESS THOSE WHO CURSE ME AND PERSECUTE ME
(MATTHEW 5:44-45). REMIND ME TO PRAY FOR THOSE WHO HURT OR OFFEND ME
SO HAT MY HEARTWILL BE SOFT TOWARD THEM. I DON'T WANT TO BECOME
HARD AND BITTER BECAUSE OF UNFORGIVENESS. MAKE ME A PERSON WHO IS QUICK
TO FORGIVE.
WHERE THERE IS DISTANCE BETWEEN ME AND ANY OTHER FAMILY MEMBER BECAUSE
OF UNFORGIVENESS, I PRAY YOU WOULD BREAK DOWN THAT WALL.
HELP ME TO FORGIVE EVERY TIME I NEED TO DO SO.

LOVE YOUR ENEMIES, BLESS THOSE WHO CURSE YOU, DO GOOD TO THOSE WHO HATE
YOU, AND PRAY FOR THOSE WHO SPITEFULLY USE YOU SND PERSECUTE YOU,
THAT YOU MAY BE SONS OF YOUR FATHER IN HEAVEN.

Let's Hurry

Let's hurry to love people 'cause they leave so soon
Only their shoes and deaf phone remain
Only what is unimportant lingers like a cow
What's most important rushes so fast
Then normal so unbearable silence exists
Just like purity derived from despair
When we think about someone that we're left without

Don't be convinced that you still have time because it's not assured
And we loose our tenderness like good luck
That comes as both pathos and humor
Just like two passions are lesser than one
And hurriedly leave like a bird in July
Just like a sound not very accurate or a dry respect
To really see you need to close your eyes
Though it is a higher risk to be born than die
We still love too little and too late

Don't write about it too often but write once and for all
So you'll be like a dolphin gentle and strong

Let's hurry to love people 'cause they leave so soon
And those who do not leave not always return
And you never know when speaking of love
Whether first is the last one or last is the first.

I SAW JESUS

I saw Jesus last week.
He was wearing blue jeans and an old shirt.
He was up at the church building;
He was alone and working hard.
For just a minute he looked a little like one of our church members.
But it was Jesus, I could tell by his smile.
I saw Jesus last Sunday.
He was teaching a Bible class.
He didn't talk real loud or use long words,
But you could tell he believed what he said.
For just a minute, he looked like my Sunday School teacher.
But it was Jesus, I could tell by his loving voice.
I saw Jesus yesterday.
He was at the hospital visiting a friend who was sick.
They prayed together quietly.
For just a minute he looked like our pastor.
But it was Jesus, I could tell by the tears in his eyes.
I saw Jesus this morning.
He was in my kitchen making my breakfast
He then fixed me a special lunch to take with me.
For just a minute he looked like my Mom.
But it was Jesus, I could feel the love from his heart.

I saw Jesus today.
He was praying on his knees all alone.
He then began to cry for those he prayed for.
For just a minute he looked like a lady from our church.
But it was Jesus, I could see the compassion poured out of his prayer.
I saw Jesus the other day.
He was at the grocery store talking to a friend.
He then put his arms around them to comfort them.
For just a minute he looked like a young mother in our ladies class.
But it was Jesus, I could see the concern for others who hurt.
I see Jesus everywhere,
Taking food to the sick,
Welcoming others to his home,
Being friendly to a newcomer
And for just a minute I think he's someone I know.
But it's always Jesus, I can tell by the way he serves.

May someone see Jesus in you today.
"You are My witnesses," says the Lord." (Isaiah 43:5)

Peace Prayer _St. Francis of Assisi

Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace;
