Another year has passed and so has the 2009 jeep safari. The good news is that everyone had a great time and even better no break downs! Since we decided to "take a break" from officiating trails during the safari we have been able to do more exploring of the Moab area during the week. While following other leaders we have learned things about the area we would never have known. So I say mix it up! Don't do the same thing year after year.
We took advantage of roads that don't often get used during the safari. These roads lead us to all types of history from a bed of prehistoric footprints to a ghost town with a family connection. Of course traveling on most of the safari trails you travel through Moab's history, the trails are old mining roads.
Although the safari is over for this year the outdoor season has just begun. There are many great weekends for off roading wether it be in a jeep or an ATV or whatever you like to do. I can tell you this though, if you can't find me out in the dirt, check the golf course.
