If you've been given the link to this page you probably A)are new to one of the Lifehouse message boards, or B)asked a question that has been answered many times over. Someone gave you this link to help you with your Lifehouse knowledge! Please take a moment to look through this list of Frequently Asked Questions! (Note: If you've been sent here from lifehousefans.com, please read this as well.)

Q: What is Blyss/Bliss?
A: Lifehouse originally started out as a worship band at Malibu Vineyard.

Q: What is Diff’s Lucky Day?
A: DLD is the demo album cut under the name Bliss/Blyss. Only about 1100 copies exist (100 Bliss/1000 Blyss). At times, copies go up on EBay but they tend to go for $100+ and in the past people have tried to sell fakes. You can hear the album at www.lifehouse-media.com.

Q: Is Lifehouse a Christian Band?
A: No. The members have made it clear on several occasions that they are NOT a “Christian Band.” Jason writes to leave his lyrics open to interpretation—meaning, a song could have spiritual meaning to one listener, and be about a friend or lover for another listener. Fairly recently, many of us were part of an online chat with Rick (Drummer) who had this to say about it:

“First off, we're not a Christian band. Jason back in the day used to lead worship at his church and he comes from that background. For the most part we're definitely not a Christian band. We're just a band that tries to make music that is not crap. We get pigeonholed sometimes about being a Christian or spiritual or whatever band. But for the most part we try to write the best songs that we can, songs that inspire people. There is a special feeling that people get when they hear a song like that, it is an open form of art, we don't like to be put into a box like that!”

Q: What is Mr. Tumnus
A: Mr. Tumnus is a side project of Jason’s—a Christian album. It’s been put on hold for now to focus on Lifehouse, but there’s talk of Jason releasing it in the future on his own record label. When/if the project is completed, it will be a totally separate endeavor from Lifehouse.

Q: What is Belly King Records?
A: Jason’s personal record label. Myster-E is on this label.

Q: Is there a DVD?
A: Yes! A DVD titled “Everything” was released in November 2005.

Q: What does Pete Townsend have to do with Lifehouse?
A: Nothing. Pete Townsend (of The Who) had a side project named Lifehouse. The two are completely unrelated.

Q: Is Fuse a Lifehouse album?
A: No. Though it’s often listed, that’s not an album from our boys.

Q: I just got back from a concert! Who was that Australian guy playing guitar?
A: Ben Carey is the current touring guitarist, though most fans have come to consider him to be part of the band. You may have seen him on tour before with Savage Garden. He’s also a member of Ocianic.

Q: When are they coming to ______ on tour?
A: Tour dates can be found on Ticketmaster, the official site, and generally on the forums at lifehousefans.com.

Q: Are Rebel Rebel or Pump it Up Lifehouse songs?
A: Nope. Bryce covers Rebel Rebel (by David Bowie) in concert and Jason Covers Pump it Up (Elvis Costello).

Q: Help! I’ve heard of a Lifehouse song that I can’t find on cd!! Where can I find it?
A: Lifehouse actually has a lot of unreleased tracks, b-sides that are only on import albums, and b-sides only ever heard live. You can find pretty much any Lifehouse songs you’d ever want on www.lifehouse-media.com. No worries, the guys in the band are fully aware of this site (run by Eric!) and often tell fans about it themselves when they think of it, so yes, it’s okay to download the songs. Eric only offers songs that aren’t widely for sell. (Such as the Blyss songs and most b-sides that can’t easily be purchased)

Q: What is T.E.A.?
A: T.E.A. (Tomorrow and Everyday After) is the other band bass player Bryce is a member of. Find more here.

Q: When will there be a new album?
A: Soon! The guys are supposed to be back in the studio this fall to work on the new album!

Q: Who is Myster-E or Ean?
A: Oh Ean...I think Kristi put it best:

Ean is MANY things:

1. Jason's best friend
2. An artist: Myster-E (myspace: http://myspace.com/mystere)
3. (former?) Webmaster of Lifehousemusic.com (and many more)
4. Merch guy on the 2005 LH tour
5. Actor ("All Over Again", "Not Another Teen Movie")
6. Kickass guy.
7. Phillipians brother / co-founder (or something) of Brake Records

Q: Who is Dann?
A: Dann was with the guys during the 2006/2007 recording of the latest album, "documenting" the recording process. You can find links to the youtube videos on the General Links page.
