 I am 30 years old. I am married with 3 kids. The idea of owning a rat came to me when I was 13 years old. My best friend had a pet rat named Ziggy. I just loved him and I knew I had to have one. Since then, I have always had pet rats. My husband and I are both avid animal lovers. And with his support, I have done research over the last 2 years and decided to start breeding. Mainly because I was tired of getting sickly rats from pet stores. I wanted sweet, healthy rats for pets. Now, I breed not just for myself, but for others. I talk to everyone I can about pet rats, encouraging them to have an open mind. My husband and I are hoping to open an animal rescue in the next 5-7 years.
