In 1925, Barcelona founder Joan Gamer first floated the idea of a museum to preserve the history of FC Barcelona. The board rejected the idea at the time and it remained dormant until 1982 when Josep Lluis Nunez spearheaded a project to bring together all of the club’s trophies, documents and other historical items on interest. These pieces were dispersed in various locations at the time, and some were very poorly preserved. The manager and architect, Josep Casals and Francesco Pulido, the man responsible for preserving the team’s heritage, joined forces to finally bring Gamper’s idea to fruition. The museum was inaugurated on September the 24, 1984. The museum of Barça is the best football club museum of the world. It is one of being visited places Barcelona city too much.
