Welcome to the Lakeland High School Leadership Cadre website! We are looking forward to another amazing year! Our upcoming projects include The Rudolph Roundup Toy drive to benefit foster children in Polk County. Please bring all donations to room B-14 by Wednesday, December 17th. Also, please start bringing in those suitcases for the Bag Lady project!
We would like to send out a HUGE thank you to everyone that volunteered at the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, Leukemia Lymphoma's Light the Night and painting the girl's bathroom in C wing!!
With the help of students and staff at LHS, we raised $1,352.63 for the Penny Harvest Campaign. We will begin brainstorming ideas on how the money should be spent to benefit the community.
The Leadership program at Lakeland High School is more than just a class, it is an amazing life experience. From learning how to communicate well with others, to going out in the community and helping others, you will learn more than you'd ever expect. This service-learning course is designed to teach leadership skills, communication skills, group dynamics, human and public relations, conflict resolution, anger management, mediation, team building, and other group processes. A few more of the many skills you will learn in the class include confidence working with groups, individual responsibility, the ability to set and work toward a goal, and time management skills.
