Bruda Sense of Duty CGC TDI

Ronin joined the family on July 4th, 2005.  Originally named Hugh (after Hugh Grant... yikes), he was born on November 25, 2003.  His mother is Bruda Besame of Marienburg (Ch. Cara's Skeeter SchH1 ZTP V1A WAC x Ch. Marienburg Coral Pendant) and sired by Ch. Bruda I'm A Hunter Man (Ch. Cambria's Cactus Cash x Bruda Janna Banana Republic).

Ronin is 27" at the shoulder and 75lbs.  He's a little dog with big muscle and an even bigger heart.  Nothing gets this guy down, he's our resident cheerleader and comedian.

Ronin wasn't the most confident dog when I got him, but with a little training and a lot of love, he's tranformed into a wonderful companion and enthusiastic show dog.  He recieved his first points in Mason City, Iowa on October 16th, 2005 under judge Mrs Bettie Krause.  He has been shown by Jenifer West PHA, Tina and Jim Harbert (PHA and AKC reg'd handlers), and also by ME - owner handling is a blast!  I'm a firm believer that you've got to owner-handle a dog at least a little bit, unless you are physically unable to do so.  Watching the handlers get all the glory is nothing compared to the exhilaration of putting points on your own dog.

Ronin earned his Canine Good Citizen certification on Saturday, June 30th, 2007.  Despite doing the CGC with a girl in season sitting next to him the whole time, he passed with flying colors.  Ronin has come such a long way from what he was before, we're all VERY proud of the little man!

Ronin earned his Therapy Dog certification in November 2008.  We're very proud of him!

Ronin's first points, owner handled to Best of Breed in Mason City, IA.
Poor guy was a skeleton - he wasn't eating well at the time, so he looked pretty skinny!

Ronin, looking good at 3 years old.  Photo taken on February 11th, 2007 at our dog park, on the first warmish day of the new year!

Ronin chills out in the backyard... literally!  That frozen Iowa tundra must be pretty cold!

YYYYAAAAWWWWNNNNNN...

Ronin enjoys a day at the beach...

Quite possibly my favorite photo of Ronin... he hates to let go of his favorite toy!

Ronin takes Best Adult in Match, over more than 180 dogs.  We were very pleased with this fun "win"!
