Food and Nutrition

Canidae - We used to exclusively feed Canidae.  It is a premium food at an unbeatable price, and the company is very friendly and supportive.  We would still be using it if Ronin had not developed a poultry allergy.
Taste of the Wild - This is what the dogs currently eat, with the exception of Ada who is still on Canidae.  It's a great new grain free food with medium protein levels and a great taste - or so the dogs tell me!  We feed the Pacific Stream version as it has no poultry.
K9 Power Products - My dogs used to get K9 Superfuel and GoDog every day.  These are truly serious performance supplements!  I still keep GoDog around for when my dogs need a boost, but the Superfuel has too much poultry in it for everyday use with Ronin.  Ilsa still likes her yummy Superfuel though!
Dog Food Analysis - Great site that gives reviews and "star ratings" of all types of food.

Discussion Forums

Doberman Pinscher Discussion Forum - a wealth of information and support, mostly for pet owners and competition folk.  Login required.
Doberman Nexus - geared more to dicussion of dogs of the past and present, conformation, and show dogs.  Not specifically for pet owners.  Login and Membership required.
Working Dobermann Forum - for certain working folk.
White Doberman Education Forum - a forum on education and discussion of the albino Doberman.
Chazhound - nice, supportive, knowledgable folk!
Cool2BCorgi - one of the nicest Corgi forums I've been to.
Cyberdobes-L - email list for Doberman fanciers.

Favorite Training Clubs in the Area (Central and East Central Iowa)
Cyclone Country Kennel Club - this is where Ronin goes for conformation classes.  Also offers obedience classes.
Hawkeye Hustlers - this is the flyball team that Ilsa may be training with in the summer of 2006.
4RK9's - this is the club where Ilsa earned her CGC.  She also was started in Agility here, as well as took a puppy class.
Canine Craze - this is a 100% positive training facility where I will be taking Ilsa for Rally Obedience training if she cannot get into a class with Pawsitively Canine Training and Sports Complex (no website for this amazing club, unfortunately)
K9 Playhouse - if I was ever serious about Agility (I'm talking Top Twenty), this is where I would go.  Ginna was trained in part by Connie Apling of K9 Playhouse.  Connie has two Top Twenty Agility dogs, Tori and Toddi.  Tori was the #1 Agility Doberman, and Toddi has hovered between the #2 and #3 spot for years.

Friends' Websites
Sada Kennels - This is the website for Jack, Chyna and Dreyfuss (and their other housemates).
TiJi Kennels - Tina and Jim Harbert are Ronin's primary professional handlers.  They've done a great job with my boy!
Tailwind Kennels - Jeni West is one of Ronin's professional handlers.

Art and Photography
Krisma Images
- Lois Grier is one of the best canine photographers I've worked with.  Her prices are spectacular, her patience is everlasting, and her work speaks for itself.  I highly recommend her services.
The Winning Image - Very nice photography, nationally reknowned as the premier show dog photographer.

Supplies and Equipment

Paco Collars
- Hands down the best leather collars I have ever seen.  I don't think my dogs will wear anything else!  The people at Paco Collars are very friendly and dedicated to their work, they are some of the best people I have ever worked with when it comes to online ordering.  It takes awhile to get your collars, but as Rome was not built in a day, you cannot expect a custom work of art (cleverly disguised as a dog collar) to show up on your doorstep immediately!

The Bow Wow Shop - A couple years back, the DPDF gang went nuts for Herm Sprenger double row chain martingales... this is where you get 'em!
J and J Dog Supplies - A great site for Obedience, Rally, Agility, and generic training-to-title equipment.
McCartney's Dogs - Have you seen those comical caricatures of different dog breeds?  Here's where to buy official McCartney's Dogs gear!
Signature K9 - This is one of my all-time favorite stores.  If you're looking for training equipment, agitation collars, and professional working dog gear, this is the place!  They also carry an extensive selection of hard-to-find Herm Sprenger collars, such as short link Fur Savers and unique finishes.  They also have Dobermans... anyone with dobes gets a smiley face in my book!
Boomerang Tags - The ONLY place to purchase identification tags!  These tags are thick and rugged, extremely legible, and come with a lifetime guarantee.  Home of the CollarTag.
Gundog Supply - This has got to be one of the best suppliers of electronic training collars and field supplies I've ever come across.  The owner, Steve, is very friendly and is always available to answer any questions.  Steve recently helped me find the perfect collar for Ronin for an affordable price.
LDS Leather - The ultimate stop for *quality* leathergoods.  This stuff is amazing - supple, high quality, and buttery soft.  Their bullhide leashes are phenomenal.  Locking snaps available, as well as conventional snaps.
KV Veterinary Supply - A great place to buy prescriptions and other pet supplies.  Shipping is very cheap, and they deliver items quickly.
Ella's Lead - Want a sturdy, water resistant, uber-strong leash that can get wet and possibly tow a car in a pinch?  Then go to Ella's Lead!
Primo Pads - closed-cell foam, lifetime guaranteed (even if chewed) crate liners.  These are great, I have one in every crate I own.  They prevent and cure elbow calluses, don't absorb fluids, and are east to clean.
