Jesse Kilmartin played by Forbes March

The first member to get close to Lexa, he's approximately 29 years old. The best at the computer, at least in the four of them, and has a little background in genetics. He comes from a high profile east coast American family. After Adam Kane's mysterious death (or disappearance), he has taken the chair as the man "behind the scenes". His relationship to Lexa has been growing and growing as the third season passes on, he has admitted to caring for her and was so jealous in Art of Attraction, Jesse and Lexa kissed in #317 She's Come Undone and in #321 Cirque des Merveilles, but other than that in Dream Lover Lexa and Jesse seem to be really flirty. Extremely in fact, and we got hints of it only getting better between them, and it DID! In the Assault, Lexa admitted to caring about Jesse and was ready to give up the whole team's lives to save his (Awe, those crazy kids might make it. Can you tell that I'm a Jesse/Lexa shipper? Can you?) Anyway, he really is the member of the team that keeps everything together. When everything fell apart when Adam disappeared, did you see Jesse quit? No, or when Adam came back, he wasn't angry (at least not in She's Come Undone, maybe in Age of Innocence though) Anyway, here's some facts about Jesse, and not just my opinions.

Mutant Classification: Molecular

Powers: Can alter his density at will, his mutated DNA enables his body to physically fluctuate between states of intangibility and imperviousness. Jesse can only keep his unnatural states of density for a permitted 30 seconds maximum.

Shalimar Fox played by Victoria (Vicky) Pratt

Mid to Late twenties, she has been with Mutant X as long (maybe longer) than Jesse Kilmartin. Doesn't trust Lexa as much as Jesse does but still puts her faith in her teammates. A skilled fighter and very aggressive, was put in an institution when she was a girl that provoked her mutant abilities. Lexa and Shalimar's relationship is kind of complicated, but I've come to the conclusion that they trust and respect each other even though they might have little arguments now and then. In Dream Lover, they seemed to team up pretty well and watch each other's backs. Early in the beginning, it was Shalimar who really didn't take well to Lexa's presence, and like always she blamed it on being territorial. Bla-bla-bla, she's not that much like a feline. Anyway, here's something about her mutation.

Mutant Classification: Feline-Feral

Powers: She has heightened senses, strength, agility, and prowess that comes from mostly a female cougar or lynx. She shares common traits, physical and mental, that comes from felines (lions, cats, etc.)

Brennan Mulwray played by Victor Webster

Ever since Divided Loyalties #315, Lexa and Brennan seem to be on good terms and they're beginning to trust each other, which I think is just some forshadowing for a bumpy road. And in Divided Loyalties, we also got an undercover makeout scene between them  Brennan and Lexa's relationship hasn't been really moving forward or back recently, I think Brennan's just accepted that Lexa was going to stay in Mutant X and he couldn't do a damn thing about it unless he wanted to be kicked in the groin again (priceless moment in #310 Brother's Keeper) Anyway, Brennan Mulwray is in his late twenties to early thirties, an agressive man and experienced in the Martial Arts. Tall, agile, and a crack shot with self generated voltage, if I must say. Ruthless fighter, street smart, and a hair trigger quality that makes him lethal to enemies.

Mutant Classification: Electric-Elemental

Powers: He can channel electricity in amazing ways and can wield it as a weapon. He can even disable electronic locks, encoded computer systems, which made him an excellent thief.

Adam Kane played by John Shea

Now, we're not quite sure if Adam is an ally to Lexa ... or a friend. But we got to give him some credit. She finally gets to know he's alive in She's Come Undone, but she didn't quite welcome him with open arms. There were hints of them being close sometime back in the day, for example when Adam mentioned her brother but there were some rough edges in their conversations as well, like when Adam clearly did not want to answer when Lexa figured that he couldn't trust her in the beginning. But it was shown that Adam cares for Lexa, because he "worked back channels" to place Lexa in Mutant X "not so you could save them, but so they could save you, from what you were becoming!"-Straight quote from Adam to Lexa in She's Come Undone. Ahh, but in "The Assault" when the Dominion captured Lexa, Adam was going to leave Lexa there ... I would've torn his head off!

Information:

In the words of the intro, Adam Kane was the head bio-geneticist at Genomex during the eighties (so we guess), after he found out the effects of his research and what Mason Eckhart planned to do with all the New Mutants he broke away and formed his own team that would defeat Mason Eckhart's plans to take all the New Mutants and stick him in stasis pods (that loser) And from the introduction from Lexa in Into the Moonless Night, Lexa used to be a Mutant X member so they do have a past together. He's all human, no mutancy, no powers.

Leo Pierce played by Steve Byers

Leo Pierce was Lexa's twin brother, they were both born from a military fertility program, and when they showed their mutant abilities: they were kept on a military base until they were fourteen. When Leo lost control of his powers and started to create his multiple personalities, Lexa made a deal with Mason Eckhart to work with the GSA in turn for Leo's stay at a institution so he could get better. Years, so I figure, afterward; he escaped after so much torture at the institution, Lexa searched for him. In the episode "Brother's Keeper" 310, Lexa finally caught up to him, until Brennan got in the way and Lexa had to shoot Leo with a laser, ending his life. We've heard about Leo off and on since Brother's Keeper, Lexa was going to leave Mutant X in "Conspiracy Theory" #312 because she felt that her deal with the Dominion was over when he died. The last we heard of Leo was in the Assault when Lexa left a message to Mutant X about taking the Dominion down ... I believe she said "I couldn't save my brother ..." It's funny, she said in Conspiracy Theory that everything she did was for her brother .... now, it's like everything she does is because of her brother.

Mutant Classification: Molecular (so we guess)

He can change his physiology (but not his DNA) to become other people, called a "Multiple". Sort of like a Mutant-way of having multiple personalities.

Lexa's Dominion Contact

This guy was "on her list", in my mind anyway, but the new episodes show that he could be classified as an ally. In She's Come Undone, he stood up for Lexa in a Dominion-meeting and tried to help her. Also, in "In Between" he says. "I'd hate to you lose you, you're one of my best operatives" ... and from what I saw he showed that he could be the only one in the Dominion that might be of help to them when the "war" comes that Adam talks about. And I guess I was right, because in the Assault he shot two Dominion-troops so Lexa and Jesse could escape. What a good guy, I always liked him. It's funny, Lexa's last words to him was "I never knew your name" ... Ha! Welcome to the club! It's been bugging me!

Randall Blake played by Lyriq Bent

I really, really, REALLY didn't want to include him but what the heck, might as well, if I was running a Jesse site, I'd add Alisha Keary even though I didn't like her much either. I can't even believe I remember his name! Anyway, Lyriq played a man named Randall Blake aka "Blake"; a cat burglar/painter. Most famous for stealing Lexa's heart in Art of Attraction, Mutant X needed him to help steal a painting for the Dominion. What someone pointed out to me, was that first kiss between Blake and Lexa in that hallway, it reminded me of Wages of Sin when Lexa kissed Brennan and told him to stay out her way. Crazy, crazy. But, at the end of Art of Attraction, they made it seem that Lexa would see Blake again. But we've never heard of him since.

Mutant Classification: Molecular

Powers: From what we saw, he was the exact opposite of Lexa. She controls light, he controlled darkness and shadows. Or Lexa mentioned it as "Anti-Energy" that he controlled. He was such a match for Lexa ... in POWERS, I mean. In Powers.

Just say no, Lexa, alcohol effects judgement. (Well how else could you explain the attraction?)
