Michaela Goes Red
A HAIRDRESSER turned heads in the direction of Levi’s Star after she opted to turn her barnet bright red in memory of our little star, Levi. Michaela Layton, of the Sirocco Hair Studio on Lower Warrengate, Wakefield undertook the transformation to raise funds for Levi's Star.
The 34-year-old has raised more than £700 so far and money is still coming in.
"What Michaela did was excellent and everyone at Levi’s Star wants to say a big big big thank you to her." xxx
Thank you from Michaela
Over £700 raised and counting. Whilst Levi’s family have ploughed all their efforts and energy into organising this charity – I wondered what it was that I could do to help in also trying to raise sponsorship. I asked what had been his favourite colour and that I would colour my hair it – the answer came back RED, so that was it I’d colour my hair red in his honour and raise awareness of his charity. Every time I’ve panicked about going bright red his little smile has popped into my head and the thoughts of other children with the same condition simply took the panic away.
I’d like to thank all the “STARS” who’ve helped, listened and sponsored me. Everyone in the up town night scene pubs, Moodies, Black Swan, Exchange bouncers (door men), Wrenthorpe Football Club, Tracy Metcalfe, Nigel Wright, Faisals Restaurant, my parents and family, customers at Sorocco and all my friends – you are all truly stars, many, many thanks in aiding Levi’s charity to shine on.
