To Michele

Colours of Michele Dawn

White veined marble spires and domes,

reaching to heaven and the warmth of the sun.

Shocking bright red cardinals in dim churches,

Waiting for their lord to come.

Bright crosses in red and gold.

Colorful pictures of glass

Silent posed white statues,

Just waiting for time to pass.

Bright skies striking blue lagoon,

A city of people afloat

Red bell towers that ring on Sundays,

Ripples of water running along a dark boat.

Grey stonewalls of lichen green,

Drinking the morning dew

Writhing there way from field to field

Across the country view.

Nestled deep in shiny dale.

Lay Small blue slate towns.

Covered in sparkling raindroped sunlight,

Glittering like Royal crowns.

Of a gentle soul, and warm love,

Remembered for all of time.

Now with bright white angeled wings

Sending messages of love from above.

Smile on her face heart and stamp in hand,

All greeted with loving grace.

Yet still dreaming of another land.

Another time. Another place.

GODS GIFTS

I took away a butterfly’s wings

I took away what makes a bird sing

It was the only way I could win her love

Now she trills and sings and flies on gossamer wings,

I think talents and gifts are wonderful things,

And are better shared.

              Colors of Love

When a rainbow kissed a star,

the colors could be seen from afar.

On gentle love they float to earth,

To show the World their priceless worth.

On landing they blossomed and flowered.

Gifts for you and me they showered,

In colors of love of rainbow star,

To color the world, near and far.

A blossom head in yellow or pink

Can surely only make you think

Of me, my love, my rainbow gift.

And heal my broken heart in rift.

I sit and slip into a dream

Of things and how they could have been

Of deep love that brushed my heart and cheeks

Of pain, of loss, of despair lasting for weeks

I sit and slip into a dream

Of new love so deep and keen

Of hair brushing a tearful cheek

Of the joy of holding a lover week after week

I sit and slip into a dream

Of lost love and angels on the bed

Of the people who helped with a smile, and a nod of head

Of the many loved souls gone ahead

I sit and slip into a dream

Of people that just brushed my life

I wake to know the angles are real

And thank god for all the people that feel

And love; and care

Imagine

John Lennon

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religon too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...

Imagine no possesions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
In a brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...

You may say i'm a dreamer
But i'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be as one

AGEING

The years fall upon my body

But leave the brain alone

So I feel a prisoner of flesh and bone

And pain becomes my hobby

I still remember being handsome and bright

But can only hide myself now

Few gifts god, to me can endow

As mirror looking becomes a fright

When face to face with Angles I stand

Will they know my face?

Will they know I lived with grace

And welcome me with open hand?
