In August of 1970, a young killer whale (orca) was captured from Penn Cove, Washington.
Today, she is known as "Lolita" and performs daily at the Miami Seaquarium. She is the oldest orca in captivity, but she resides in the smallest killer whale tank. Many people believe the Miami Seaquarium should retire Lolita back to her native waters and pod. Thousands of news stories have been done over the years about Lolita and whether she should be allowed back to her homeland.
