Mr. Dingfeld - School Library Media Specialist

Welcome to the Lakehurst Elementary School Media Center!

The Media Center at Lakehurst Elementary School is designed to provide students with instructional and recreational reading materials.  In addition, our computer stations provide students and faculty with access to the Internet and other technology to incorporate into their learning experience.  Our goal is to fulfill the informational needs of our patrons, so please let Mrs. Potkay or myself know what we can do to help you.

Remember: A+ Library Citizenship!!!!

Clean hands keep books clean.

Never write, scribble, glue, or cut the pages of a book.

Mark your place in a book with a bookmark, not by folding the page of the  book.

Turn the page of a book by using the top corner.

Always carry your books in some type of book bag.

Keep your books in a safe place at home, where little brothers, sisters, or pets cannot bother them.

If you discover a damaged book, give it to the librarian. Library books are mended with special  materials.

Remember to check out your books from the library properly.

Be considerate of others. Speak using an "indoor voice" when you are in the library.

Remember to return books to the library on time :-)
