Hurstbank Winter's Knight at Snowshe x Sasoolka Easter Surprise at Snowshe

For sometime I had liked Samoyeds, and in 1997 when we were looking for another dog we looked into Samoyeds as an option, and after visiting a number of shows and reading up in more detail took the plunge.
A phone call to one of the Samoyed Clubs pointed us in the direction of Sheila Cox who just so happened to have a litter at around 6 weeks old. A few weeks later and we were on our way home with a big bundle of fur.
We had no intention of showing or working Kira, but "just for fun" entered her into the Milton Keynes & District Open show and came home with Best Puppy in Breed, Best of Breed and Puppy Group 4. which gave us the showing bug to some extent. Over the next few years we picked up a few BOB's at Open shows and Kira also got her Stud Book number before we gave up showing her.
By the time Kira was 6 we had 2 more sammies (Keesha and Krista) and also Jenna and Cleo (Sibes) who we had started to work. Just to give it a try, I hitched up Kira, keesha and Krista on their own to see if they would run. Kira and Keesha took to it immediately and although not exactly Ferrari's they ran their little socks off.
This was quite convenient as it allowed Stacey to run the Sibes and I could run the Sammies.
After 3 years of running we have now retired Kira and Keesha. Kira was showing her age last season and was beginning to struggle. Since having her spayed her coat has just got thicker and thicker which has not helped. So she is now enjoying a retired life by constantly barking when at rallies just to let everyone know "we're here"
