Bernese Oberland

In the heart of the Swiss Alps you will find the Bernese Oberland. In between the city of Interlaken and the three peaks of the Monch, the Eiger and the Jungfrau, you will find beautiful mountains, forests and hills. Since the principle language is german all the rides have been named appropriately.

You enter this area through the bottom of the Hotel Jungfrau, the hotel for Leonardo's Quad Quarter Retreat. The hotel allows you to acces the monorail and serves food, provides services and sells souveniers.

As you exit the Hotel you will come accross the shuttle coaster Grosse Schlaufe (Big Loop), the boomerang coaster Schweiser Stern (Swiss Star) and the merry-go-round Die Pferds (The Horses). As you head upwards you will see Der Jeeps (The Jeeps).

As you head up past Der Jeeps you will come to the centerpiece of this area. Leonardo's Holz Rennstrecke (Leonardo's Lumber Racetrack). This massive 4-way duelling wooden coaster is possibly the best coaster in the park and has been entered into a global competion for Best Rollercoaster. To save long queue times Leonardo's Holz Rennstrecke has V-QUEUE. V-QUEUE ticket can be obtain near the entrance to the ride.

A nice view of Interlaken. Here you will find many shops selling food, drink and souveniers. Also you will find a couple of attractions.

If you keep following the path through Interlaken you will find Kuckuck (Cuckoo) and the other end of Der Eisenbahn (The Railway) that runs from Interlaken to Kuckuck.

Following the path round further you will come accross the Mannlichen mountian. At its base you will find Wirbelwind (Whirlwind) and Berwerkzug (Minetrain). at its peak you will find a resteraunt, Tummelback Falls and Uberwachtung Turm (Observation Tower). You can use Das Sessellift (The Chairlift) to get up the hill and save your legs. To fully appreciate the area you need to visit the park.
