Hey guys! I'm going to be working on the site alot more now,
and look forward to major changes over the summer. The competition
went great, and everyone had a good time. Afterwards we went
to a restaraunt with everybody, and then Andrew, Chris, Dan, Joshua,
Mike, and I went to Joy's house. (Joy decided to come too haha.)
Then Andrew, Chris, Dan, and I stayed the night at Joy's. The night
was basically Andrew making cheesey jokes and Chris and Dan talking
about blindfolding.
good times.

February 4:
Sorry for the late update, i've been very busy lately and
haven't had time to update.
Here are the major events that have happened since the last
update: Andrew Kang broke the unofficial world record for most solved
cubes in 24 hours (which he has yet to have put on speedcubing.com)
The Orchestra went on a trip to North Georgia and stayed for a
couple of days at Camp Mikell. Stephan Hersh was there and it was
lots of fun. Finally, i have info about the upcoming competition!
The 24 hour cube marathon was great, but very hard. For those of you who
were there im sure you know exactly what I am talking about when I say how
physically and mentally challenging it is to stay up 24 hours cubing, and how
hard it was for Andrew. For The first couple of hours it was pretty easy, we
took shifts and there were plenty of people willing to take them. After about
hour 5 people started to leave, but it was still pretty easy going. By hour ten
we were exhausted, and so was Andrew. By hour 12 we were so exhausted that some
of us were even sick to our stomaches. Andrew stopped at hour 22, and beat the
record just by one, because he didn't want to go on.
Thanks to everyone who helped out!
Just this weekend the Chattahoochee Orchestra went on a trip to Taccoa Falls
and got to work with Stephan Hersh, an internationally renown musician, and
he helped us ALOT. We stayed at Camp Mikell, and almost everyone had a great
time. There was lots of fun, but for some reason alot of drama.....weird. Must
have been the water. Anyways it was a great trip.
Now, for what you all have been waiting for, the
Chattahoochee Spring Competion 2007!
The competition will take place at Chattahoochee High School(www.chattcougar.com)
(5230 Taylor Road Alpharetta, Ga 30022)on March 24 10am-4am. Registration starts
at 9am. Anyone instate or out of state who can solve a 3x3x3 in under 5 minutes
is allowed to join. The events will be 3x3x3, 3x3x3 one hand, 3x3x3 blindfold,
4x4x4, 4x4x4 blindfold, 5x5x5, and 5x5x5 blindfold. All ages are welcome, but if
you are 13 or younger you must come with an adult. Please keep in mind that these
results will be official and internationally recognized. Also the results will be
placed on www.speedcubing.com. Also, even if you are a slow cuber, this will be good
experience and i recomend that you try this, even if you think you won't win.
