"Sand Castles"

Sandcastles are wonderful, though fleeting, artistic expressions. I have attempted to capture the fun and fancy of such rare community gatherings. Parksville, B. C. had, for many years, been the collection place for sand castle artists from all over the world. It was a wonderful event enjoyed by many, many people. Unfortunately, a few hoodlums decided to make a statement by damaging property in the city. The sand castle competition was cancelled for two years. It is now back, but sadly, it is behind a fence.
It is still a wonderful sight to see but some of the freedom has been removed by hooliganism.

"The golf tournament"

Once the juices of inspiration start to flow it is no telling where it will go. Someone commented that Mr. Onion looks angry. Well he is. His ball is in the bunker.

"Vegetables playing bridge"

The idea for this came from a commission. A friend asked me to paint vegetables playing bridge, in the company of her Kitchen Witch, I actually did three tables of vegetables playing bridge. It was great fun. I will attempt a commission from anyone, who asks for something similar or, who has a different idea.

"Fruit playing golf"

The idea for this came from a commission. A friend as me to paint fruit playing golf. To my dismay, I did it. I will attempt a commission from anyone, who asks for something similar or, who has a different idea.
