Abstract:

"Inner Space"

This painting was the result of playing with water colours and different forms of acrylic medium. It just evolved into an interesting piece that may be viewed upright, upside down, or whatever.  After all there probably is no gravity in inner space. It shows well with Outer Space which was painted as a companion piece.

"Outer Space"

This painting was created as a companion piece for Inner Space. Either one shows well alone. Availability: The original Outer Space is not for sale at this time. Signed, limited edition, augmented, Giclee prints are available on canvas or on artist paper. Cards, 5"x7", with envelopes  are available in lots of 150 for $300.00

"Blue Lagoon"

It is hard to recall what was in my mind the day I painted the Blue Lagoon. I think I was looking for a design that would reflect peace and harmony. Sun and water and significant others. Some children looked at it and saw wonderful moguls to ski down, right into the centre of town.

"Follow your dreams"

This is in fond memory of a wonderful woman named Mary Abt who worked tirelessly with the First Nation's People of Hobema, Alberta.  She made a great difference to their lives and they made a great difference to her life.

"Music for the jester"

This was inspired by a friend who said she would like to see something with silver, gold and black. She enjoys music so this is what evolved. Cards, 5"x7", with envelopes  are available in lots of 150 for $300.00

"Concert in the park"

For a number of years, we were entertained by a symphony in the park.  On a warm summer evening with lawn chairs or blankets, and sometimes a picnic basket, we would enjoy the sounds of music wafting from a concert shell.  It was my fond memories of those events that prompted this painting.

"The Colours of Life"

Following a workshop, during which we were learning the freedom of pouring paint,
this flowed out of my hands and heart and I loved it at first sight. It was such a delight to watch the colours move and blend and flow making a pattern. Gentle manipulation of the painting, while it was still very wet, allowed me to be a party to the design and play of the paint so as to arrive at a pleasing conclusion.
