The Racket

Lia Tarachansky Reporting

Lia Tarachansky is an environmental, science, and news journalist.  Her writing includes poetry, spoken word, short stories, journalistic reportage, and innumerable started (but never finished) novels. She writes in Russian, Hebrew, and English though all the work on this site is only in the latter.
Born in the U.S.S.R, she grew up in the West Bank of Israel/Palestine and occasionally in Brooklyn, NYC. Currently, she is based in Ottawa where she volunteers with various organizations as a community organizer, street medic, and fundraiser.  She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Guelph.

Lia's work is usually edited by the one and only Albert Thibodeau, without whom she would sound like a rambling nincompoop. Albert has been writing and editing articles and technical documents for several years and is currently based in Guelph, ON.
