Dinesh has recently signed as the overseas replacement for Brad Hodge and has very big boots to fill but arrives with a good pedigree. A regular in India's one-day team, Mongia had a fantastic spell when replacing Carl Hooper as Lancashire's overseas player last season. Aswell as excelling in batting, he is a very capable spin bowler and will add variety especially in limited overs cricket. Made 65 on his Totesport debut at Kent and has been in fantastic form with bat and ball in one-day cricket but needs to improve in the championship. Has struggled with the bat in the 20/20 but impressed with his economical bowling in the 20/20. Returned to the County after a training camp in India and hit his first Championship century for the club at Durham. Has returned as an overseas player for 2006 and has started the season well before fading out and left the club for the India squad in July.
