Hattusa

Hattusa is the capital of the Land of Hatti. A lot of trade happens here, and this is the home of the king. Hattusa is the prized city and is beautifully decorated with statues of the gods and other ornaments. The Hittite population consisted of peasants. There was a recognized class of craftsmen especially potters, cobblers, carpenters and smiths, and though metal principally worked was bronze, the smelting of iron was already understood and a high value was set on this metal. Hattusa is a beautiful city and well designed. It is protected from harm by a large wall, but it is still well guarded by armed men.
