Super Mario RPG - Legend Of The Seven Stars
Developer: Squaresoft Publisher: Nintendo
Introduction:
Can we say REVOLUTION!?
It's true. That's exactly what this game was;revolutionary. It came out in Japan in March of '96, and came out just a few month later to the states in May. And when I say this was revolutionary, I mean it. Many gamers back then had no intrest in RPGs UNTIL they played this game. It started gamers on a whole new trend back when the 16-bit wars were about to come to a close.
So, I guess you're about to say "You don't need to explain the plot 'cause I already know what it is. Blah blah blah Princess get captured by Bowser again blah blah blah Mario goes and recuses her and it takes a long long time blah blah blah blah blah".....
Uh....WRONG!!!!!!
True, at the beginning of the game, the princess DOES get captured by Bowser, but JUST when Mario is about to rescue her, the Star Road dashes apart and a gigantic sword, by the name of Mack, falls from the sky, slips right through bowsers keep and completely takes over the keep, throwing Bowser out on his hide. The princess also gets lost somewhere in the world. Now Mario has to not only find Princess Toadstool, but he has to defeat the giant Sword, Mack and his Smithy gang, AND recover the Seven Lost Stars, because if they're NOT recovered, the ability to grant wishes will no longer exist(Oh No!).
I'm sure Legend would've wanted to do this review, but, then again, I didn't see a single trace of Luigi in it(lol) so I think I'm safe doing this. =)
Anyway.....

Graphics : A+
Great Great Great. Nothing but Great. I rarely can say this about ANY game I've played, but the graphics are flawless. Much like the famed DK Country series, it ran off of a 32-Megabit Cartridge(which is fairly pushing it for a SNES port). Meaning, that the graphics are guaranteed good, especially if you're a fan of the DK series' graphics(which I, personally, am). You'll really see the difference in the battle scenes. Excellent.
Sound: A .gif)
Very good sound. I found next to nothing wrong with the sound. Everything was very nice, even that annoying jumping sound. lol The music is something to truly be remembered. You'll recognize some of it, but not a lot. Either way, the sound is good.
Control: A
It's very easy to control the characters and everything in battle. In the Mini-games(It's a sqaresoft RPG. Y'knew they had to have some.), everything is explained to you so you won't get too confused while doing thing, and it's always a good Idea to listen to Toad's explanations of the games to know how to play, because, if you don't, you won't get far.
Gameplay: A
It's an RPG. The gameplay is always awesome in an RPG. You get some familiar moves with Mario("Fire orb" and "Super Jump" to name a few), and some familiar enemies all around the world of Mario, as well as some no so familiar ones. You also get the combination of a RPG, with a Mario game. You can jump all over the world, bonk airborne chests with a single jump, you can even bounce on beds in the villages(that's right, kiddies. You CAN jump on the bed, but only in the game, OK?). it's a very fun game that you should never get tired of.
Overall: A+
This game is an absolute treasure. Hands down. Everything from the Graphics, to the gameplay is awesome. Not only that, but since it's an RPG, you're guaranteed hours worth of fun. Therefore, this game is a MUST FIND on all levels. Get out, go on E-Bay, whatever you have to do to play the game, just be sure to give this game a whirl before it sadly fades from everyone's memory permanantly.
