Shinobi III: Return Of The Ninja Master

Developer: Sega
System Sega Genesis
Introduction:
Yes. 'Tis true. The life of a shinobi is harsh indeed. Yet Freakin' FUN!
As Sega was at a growing period in the mid-to-late years of the famed 16-bit wars, it decided to roll out a sequel to it's well-known, yet underappreciated, Return of Shinobi in 1993. This would be one of Sega's latest and GREATEST side-scrollers for the Sega Genesis.
The plot takes place in the present. The trecherous organization, Neo Zeed, has returned again. Our hero, the brave and fearless Shinobi, rises again from the shadows to take the organization down in one of his most dangerous missions ever. There isn't much to say about the awesomeness of this game, but I'll give it a shot.

Graphics: A
Now, we all know that the Genesis Paled in comparison to graphics when it came to the SNES, but for a Genesis port, the graphics are really good. They move really fluently, the colors, while a tad greyish, are really well detailed, and the faling rock stage was really cool to look at. Graphic wise, Sega really outdid itself.
Sound: B+
Another Pale comparison to the SNES, but even with that, the sound is decent and the music is absolutely awesome. I like the music to the Body Weapon and The Final Confrontation stages the best.I guess the only thing keeping me from giving this game's sound an A is because it is Genesis quality. But even with that, Friggin' Great!
Control: A+
Genesis Side Scroller. Not much to the control. Everything can be don't easily. The double jump and multi-shuiken attack is one of my favorite moves. While some can be a trife difficult to hit, they are extremely easy to do. Even beginner gamers will pick up on this in an instant.
Gameplay: A
The gameplay is awesome as well. The first stage is a cinch enough for you to get plenty of practice in. And with no time limit, you'll be able to do whatever you want for as long as you want until you get everything down......AND YOU'LL NEED TO! The bosses are easy at the beginning, but you'll have to switch your strategy around every single time. Another cool feature.....Shinobi ride a horse!!!!!! YEAAAEEEAAHHHH!!!!!!! As well as a surfboard. And one boss is fought while riding the surfboard. Cool Huh? Anyways. Awesome gameplay.
Overall: A
Basically, this game is guaranteed to get you through an hour or so of boredom. Everything from the Gameplay to just watching shinobi do what he does best is an absolute must see. The Control is Flawless, the music, extraodinary. Everything of this port for the Genesis screams RELIC!!!!!! If you do not try this game, you are a moron. Sure, it sounds harsh, but it's the truth. BY ALL MEANS, give this game a shot. You will love it as much as I did.
