Remember that movie contest at Sims99 I asked you to vote for at the end of my wedding?

Well.... you guys have proven yourselves to be the best fans ever. The Heiress - The Wedding won "Best Film 2006" on Sims99.
Although I had complete confidence in you guys as fans, I still had doubts that I would win, there are SO MANY talented people over at Sims99.  I'm absolutely permanent platinum now.  Thanks.  You guys ROCK!

I think I promised you an acceptance speech if I won, and I don't want to disappoint my fans....

"I'd like to thank The Academy (that's you!)  for supporting the dreams of an aspiring machinima artist (machinima = making movies with video games, knowing what this  word means impresses everyone so write it down).  I was so touched by all of the
feedback I received on this story, both personally and on Sims99. The people at Sims99 are some of the finest simmers out there. They welcomed me as a newcomer and complete unknown.  Many were kind enough to take the time to read "The Heiress" so they could fully understand what The Wedding was all about, which I think proves how dedicated they are to their craft and how willing and eager they are to give supportive feedback to others. All of The Heiress fans showing up to vote did not go unnoticed by Sims99 Administrators and they're thrilled to have all of you as new members of their community. The Above- Awesome Nova who runs Sims99 will be featured in the March issue of Simming Monthly, so be sure to read that issue!
All of the PR work I did generated lots of discussion on their site.  Apparently nobody has ever promoted a movie quite like I did, so you guys are part of Machinima History. Your impact on Sims99 is even being discussed on personal blogs of great directors at Sims99.  I really appreciate all of the attention and energy they have put into promoting my movie.

I am absolutely the luckiest Director to have the support of awesome fans like you, but by no means do I think I've "arrived"  There are so many other Directors at Sims99 whose work continues to inspire and motivate me. I want to take just a minute to give a plug to some of the great movies that also debuted last month, along with "The Heiress"  Even though "The Heiress" did win "Best Film"  I think we all know that that's subjective.  "Best" is a point of view, unique to everyone, and winning does come down to the number of votes which doesn't necessarily make one thing better than another.  I'm grateful for the support of all of you, and I know these directors would be equally grateful if you checked out their work as well. There's no voting involved, as February is over, but I'm sure they'd love to hear about it if you were impressed.

MizSkellington - was extremely creative with  Skitzo with a mind blowing interpretation of "Bohemian Raphsody"
as well as  Will You Be My Frien? part 5

Teckla - Anna about the life of a flower in a gothic fairytale - extremely creative.
