This website, created by Lefty Turner, is designed for the new IP user to have a one stop shop to learn how to use IP. It is general help topics that don't go into too much detail, but supply an intoduction to making the IP experience a better one for the beginner. It is especially helpful for those that have never used a message board or social network. I have found, while talking to members, that many have never utilized a message board or internet social community. This site was designed for these users.
Infield Parking is a social network for Nascar fans. What does this mean ? Well, lets start with what it doesn't mean. It doesn't mean everything on the site is Nascar related. It is a network for people to meet up and talk about anything they want, with one thing in common, they are all nascar fans.
Not every post is gonna be about a nascar driver or a nascar race. There will be any variety of discussions taking place at any given time. Don't go browsing forums and get upset then scold someone because they are talking about football, or cooking, or politics. The discussions are not even remotley limited to nascar discussions.
One point of advice, if you don't like what someone is discussing, go to another forum. You will certainly find a forum on the subject you choose to talk about. And if you don't, you can start one.
Note to new IP users
The IP network is undergoing current maintenance on a daily basis. Some features do not work correctly and the site has suffered slow down issues.
Do not mistake what you currently see on IP as the norm. It is the top of the line in Nascar Social Networks and Message Boards.
When posting in forums, and you wish to debate an issue, or difference of opinion, go for it. But debate the post. Debate the issue. Attack the opinions. DON'T attack the poster. Be professional and use courtesy. Attack the comments you believe to be wrong, don't attack the person that made the comment.
If Johnny says Earnhardt is not a good driver because of this or that, don't retort by saying Johnny is a turd, and just wants to bash Earnhardt. Bring out facts that back up why you think Earnhardt is a good driver. Not your opinions on why you think Johnny is a twerp.
You don't have to wait...
while the site is undergoing maintenance, and the pages load slow, you don't have to sit and wait for your posts to load. After you write your post, and hit the submit button, your done. The message has been submitted and posted. You don't have to wait for it to load. You can move on to something else, just scroll up and hit the home button, or search button, or whatever button you want to hit.
For proof of this, next time you make a post, hit submit, then wait a second or two and go hit search, you will see your post at the top of the search page.
FYI, the most recent posts on the site always appear at the top of the search page.
