Left Field Farm's riding instructor is Christie Stimpson. Christie was raised at Left Field Farm, and began riding lessons at a local riding academy in 1992. Professionally instructed in the classical English disciplines, Christie competed successfully at stable and local shows in multiple classes including Dressage, Hunt Seat Equitation, and Jumping. She was presented the High-Point award for her competition level in 1992 by the Tennessee Valley Dressage Association.
After several years, Christie began exploring other riding styles in the area and chose a lesson program taught by a local Saddleseat instructor in 1997. In this program, Christie learned how to ride and show Saddlebred horses. She competed successfully at local and regional shows in the area until 2000.
In 2003, Christie began giving lessons to local individuals interested in horsemanship and basic riding skills. Her lesson program underwent a major transformation in 2005 when her family moved to Georgia due to a military transfer. She continued her program on a limited basis in Georgia, but looked forward to returning to North Alabama and her previous clients.
Christie and her family returned to North Alabama during the holiday season of 2007, and began preparing for the beginning of her lesson program. Email for references and other information.
" I am so excited to be here, and I look forward to the beginning of the lesson program at Left Field Farm! This is a lifelong dream realized, and we hope to provide our riders with the knowledge that they will need to properly care for horses, to fill their hearts with a love and passion for horses and riding, and to bring smiles to the faces of our riders and their families as they progress through our program! We welcome you to join us at Left Field Farm!"
