Leeswood Bowling Club was originally formed as an indoor Bowling Club who met weekly using indoor mats in the Village Community Centre and held competitions and played friendly matches against neighbouring villages.
It was eventually decided by the Local Council that Leeswood would benefit from an outdoor, crown green and in 1996, the Green was officially opened by the late Councillor Selwyn Roberts.
Two years later, the Club joined the Flintshire Midweek Bowling League where they have since remained in the lowest Division up to now.
For the 2007 Season the Club joined the Wrexham Veterans League, taking the number of competitive teams up to two.
