Sure the fics are all well and good, but, as I've pointed out many a time, they aren't exact. I'm an author. As such, sometimes I have to negotiate events; take this out, put this in, rearrange this, modify that. And anyways, writing a fic based on a role play is only an interpretation of events -- specifically, from my point of view.
The screenshots (also known as "screencaps") are exactly what they sound like: pictures (aka, "shots" or "captures") of the chat screen. I guess you could call them the raw material I start with before writing a fic. This is what the actual role playing looks like, and what you'd find yourself experiencing if you ever went to AniCap and RPed a little yourself. Unfortunately, we didn't know how to make screenshots back in the really early days of role playing, so everything shown here is from relatively late in our RPing careers. Screenshots are a major lifesaver for me, because it means that I don't have to rely on my own memory quite so much; in essence, I have a photo record of what all has happened.
Aside from the pages on how to read and how to make shots of your own, the screenshots are catagorized by who took the shots. Each page subdivides their shots into two lists: IC and OOC (respectively meaning "In Character" and "Out Of Character"). IC shots are when the players are in the midst of a role play, and OOC shots are when the players are just talking normally.
NOTE: Since IC shots take place during RPing sessions, this means that they will likely appear in future RP fics; hence, THEY WILL CONTAIN PLOT SPOILERS. For those of you that do not like spoilers, either don't read the IC shots, or proceed with caution!!
By the way, these screenshots are in no way in the correct order; there are far too many of them for me to be able to remember exactly what order they occurred in, so for the time being at least they're in their filenames' alphabetical order, lol. I can say, however, that the NEWER screenshots will be located at the BOTTOM of each list.
