Lebanon Optimist Club

It's not really "About me" it's more about how I came to be who I am today...
I am born and raised in Oregon, even though I have travelled out of the state and country. My parents divorced when I was 6 months old...both now remarried (dad on his 4th and mom on her 3rd). I was raised in the church, playing and watching sports, hanging out with family and friends. And with my mom being a teacher...I have always been very interested in education and youth. I studied early education in College, but decided that wasn't something that was coming easy for me. So now I work in an alternative school and work with youth every day.
I am not married and do not have kids, but I do look forward to the time. Especially since many of my friends are married and/or have kids.
I was on dance team my senior year of high school...recently one of my dance members was killed on I5, and so I would like to get our alumni team back together to dance again...in memory of our fellow dancer, Sara Stokes. I wish I would have known her better (She was a freshman when I was a senior). She was such a beautiful person, loving, caring, faithful, christian, optimistic, etc, etc, etc. I cant say enough good things about who she was. An example of the lives she touched...her Funeral was held at the Albany First Assembly of God Church (one of the bigger churches around)...the church was packed....it doesnt get that packed except for Easter and Christmas etc.
Even though she is dead, I know she is looking down on me and helping me along the way. When I'm scared, when I feel it wont work, etc. I am inspired by her personality, and hope I can do work close to as good as she has/had done.
I am a perfectionist, a go getter, and someone who doesnt stop til she gets what she wants. I dont want to see anyone get hurt, I wish I could help everyone out, and I'm dedicated to what I do. And I really dont know how to end the all about me, so if you have any questions, I'm an open book and I'd be happy to get to know anyone too :-).
