Our baby girl grew up...

Updated 6/20/04

Hello everyone!! As most of you probably already know, Lexi graduated on June 3rd, same day as Lehla's first birthday (and they are half-sisters), pretty neat eh?  Lexi was placed in the deaf & blind program earlier this year - along with her brother Pryce and her sister Molly (what a litter huh?). Lexi and her new partner are now living in Colorado and they adore eachother. Ann (Lexi and Lehla’s breeder - she has their mother) got to meet Lexi’s new partner and was excited to share the news with me. It sounds as though Lexi found someone who is as sweet as she is. It makes our heart sing to hear that!! Lexi’s new partner, Karen, can see enough to read this website. So I encourage all of you to sign the guestbook and leave a message for Lexi and Karen - I know they would love to read your comments. I hope to keep this site going, for Karen. Especially since they will be living in beautiful Colorado!! I envy my little lady, I have always wanted to live in Colorado since I was a child. But you can bet that we will be visiting her in the near future.

I have posted her Graduation photo, Karen is as beautiful as Lexi is.

This has been a wonderful journey, one I wouldn’t give up for the world. Lexi is so precious to us and we couldn’t be prouder than if she was our own child. She is going to live the life she was born to do. And don’t forget...Pryce and Molly as well! Seven out of the eight pups in this litter were placed, only one career change in the bunch. If you would like to view Lehla’s website and haven’t yet, click on "Lehla’s Jungle" to the left and it will take you right to her page. Lehla has some huge pawprints to fill but I know she is going to make her future partner very happy as well!

Thank you ALL for your continued interest and support in the Leader Dog program and our pups. This truly is a dream come true for me and I have so many people to thank. Without them, this never would have been possible.  Feel free to write me with any questions, comments or just to say hi: lundegal@mlecmn.net

THANK YOU!!!

Sincerely,

Tracy, Dave and Lehla

Dave & Lexi at the Mackinac Bridge.  We had met Marla & Ben (foster parents of Pryce, Lexi's brother) there, although not intentional.  It was "meant to be" that we ended up at the bridge at the same time.  Pryce and Lexi got to play in the water and the "grown ups" got to visit.  One of the best parts of our trip!

Lexi and her mother, Angel.  I HAD to get a headshot of the two of them.  It's remarkable how much they look alike.
