Want to Volunteer?

We need volunteers and would be grateful for your help!  Please read the list below to see if there is one or more things you'd like to participate with.  Some of these things take only a small portion of your time but would really help us greatly. Contact katieb@lchelp.org or call  817-501-9313  to sign up as a volunteer. 

ALL volunteers need to sign up before event day.

 Before event day:

Promotion, marketing, seeking sponsorship for the event, seeking in-kind donations, handing out flyers, pre-event fundraisers, sign distribution, in kind donations of refreshments, fruit and/or boxed items.  Volunteering on Goody-Bag day to help put together the goody bags.  For those with very little time- word of mouth!!  Tell everyone you know about the walk and give them a flyer or brochure!

On event day:

General set up beginning at 9am, directing participants in the parking areas, working the registration table, working the water stops along the trails, running an information or refreshment table, working the goody bag table to hand out goody bags, general clean up.

LUNG CANCER SURVIVORS:

If you let us know that you are a survivor and will be coming to the event we will have a special button or pin for you to wear.  Let us honor you!  Send in your picture and dates of survival to katieb@lchelp.org  (please put "DFW Walk" in the subject line and send photo in a jpg format) and we will put you on our website in the Faces of Lung Cancer section.
