Rumor Mill
Note: The Rumor Mill is like a newsletter, but instead of reviewing factual information, it brings breaking news in short bits.

Breaking news from the LBW headquarters. It appears that this morning, Bob has found that his mailbox has been stuffed with fliers from a local backyard promotion... Backyard Wrestling Extreme. When asked to comment, Bob only said this following quote...

"All I know is that a man named Thomas Snyder is behind this. I have nothing further to comment."

Upon further research, Mr. Snyder is also known under his ringname, "Jobber the Hut". He's known as one of the most infamous jobbers in wrestling history, after suspicions of gambling against himself for every match he wrestled. He was never indicted, but his name has been forever tainted as one of the more unlikable men in wrestling. Well keep you updated on Jobber the Hut and the BWE as much as we can.

8/12 Madness!
Once again, LBW doesn't fail to impress with some solid results. Unfortunately, our only audience member was a sleeping limo driver, and the Riders of the Storm went and scared him off. Here are the results for the latest Sunday Night Fight...

Irvine Fratley beat Jason Ressurrection with the Bad Dreams (Dragon Sleeper).

Bonnie Meiers beat Dr. Phate with a half crab.

John Kidman beat Jeremy Sterling with a Death Valley Driver.

Six Man Tag Match
Scott Lanegan, Dexter Green, & Jason Ball beat Riders of the Storm & Jared James when Jason Ball hit a German Suplex hold on Jared James.

Main Event
C.S. Tyler beat Arik Arrogance with a running STO.

Some side notes regarding the events that occured. Both Jeremy Sterling and Jared James sustained injuries from their respective matches. Jeremy will be out for an unknown amount of time with a concussion, and Jared is out for a month or two with severe back spasms and a bruised kidney. Perhaps we should play nicer? Despite taking quite a beating, Dexter Green is okay with only minor injuries and will be able to compete next week. Same for Arik Arrogance, who needed stitches for the cut on his forehead after his brutal match with C.S. Tyler.

Our card for next week is the final Sunday Night Fight in the month of August... After that is the Monthly Event... Of which has yet to be titled. Here's a preview of the 8/19 Sunday Night Fight to come...

Venue: Old Man Jim's Yard

Captain Sunshine & Jason Ressurection vs. "The Final Countdown" Envy & Dr. Phate

Tournament to face off in a Number 1 Contenders Match
Pedro Suarez vs. Dexter Green

John Kidman vs. Arik Arrogance

Bonnie Meiers vs. Irvine Fratley

Scott Lanegan vs. Adam Danylson

Main Event
Jason Ball & C.S. Tyler vs. Riders of the Storm

Card is super subject to change.

Opening is a tag match pairing a zombie and a pirate against a doctor from Phatesville and a man obsessed with time... Should be quite interesting. After that we have four matches determining who will be facing off in a semi-final and final match at the Monthly Event. Finally, the two men set to face each other for the LBW title will be taking the same team against the malevolent duo, Riders of the Storm. Certainly these two will be keeping an eye on each other, getting to know one another's styles before going into the title match at the Monthly Event.

New Additions... More...
Wow, over the weekend we're looking towards a steady roster on the LBW squad. I'd like to personally welcome C.S. Tyler, Dexter Green, Jason Ball, Scott Lanegan, and Arik Arrogance to the LBW. Hopefully we can see these wrestlers grow with us for a long time ahead.

Another hot topic is the rumors regarding LBW's first show. With the quick income of members, we're shooting for a card to be up by next week. Rumored to be on the card is a battle royal of sorts for the LBW Championship title. Nothing has been confirmed yet, however Bob Oberman is rumored to make an appearance very soon regarding the LBW's first show.

To round out the day, there are some late breaking announcements. I'd like to personally welcome Pedro Suarez and the lovely Margarita Rodriguez to the LBW. The inclusion of Pedro makes him the sixth wrestler to join the LBW since it's opening merely two days ago.

Now that we have a solid roster, Bob has made the decision to bump the first event up one week. There are a few good matchups to kick things off, however what is most interesting about the card is the main event. A battle royal where the final two combatants are to face off at the end of this month in a match for the LBW title. How we're going to fit all these guys on a 15 foot trampoline, I don't know. However, there's no doubt that the action will be serious... Even if it is a bunch of guys wrestling on a trampoline.

Open For Business... AGAIN!
Low Budget Wrestling has made it's return for the third time since 2004. This time under the management of Bob "The Job" Oberman; LBW Alumni and world famous jobber. Bob has said in a press interview at his front lawn, attended by nobody, that "The LBW will change the face of wrestling, starting at the lowest rung of the ladder... Ascending up through the ranks that many wrestling federations fail to climb to." When asked about how successful the LBW will become, A hobo had this to say... "What?" A question that is flowing through the minds of all wrestling fans in the far reaches of the neighborhood... What? What will Bob Oberman make of the LBW? What will happen to the wrestling industry when LBW starts rolling?

We really don't know, but we can't wait to find out. Here, on the LBW homepage, you'll get up to date information about the progress of this wrestling promotion and the endeavours that we as a group will face. Check here often for news regarding the LBW.
