Congratulations to Jake Zurn who was the recipient or the LB MORRIS PTA scholarship!! He will be awarded 500.00 after completing his first semester at school!

Three Hours Can Make a World of Difference
By dedicating three hours of your time to your child's school over the remainder of the school year, you can help not only your child but all children in the school.When parents are involved in their children's learning at home and at school, their children do better in school. And when families and schools work together, everyone benefits—from the children to the teachers to the parents to the broader community. PTA Three for Me improves communication, builds understanding, and strengthens partnerships between families and schools. The program spells out school needs and values parent contributions—big and small.
Just think what could be accomplished if every parent in your school dedicated just three hours this school year to help meet the needs of the school, if every parent in your child's classroom:
* Came in to read to the class,
* Helped tutor a child,
* Worked on the class newsletter,
* Participated in career day, or
* Spoke to their boss and coworkers about supporting the school.
Your talents and time are valuable, and PTA Three for Me can help you put them to good use for your child and the school.
Be a trend setter and show other parents what three hours can do. Contact your school or PTA and make the Three for Me commitment today. A little means a lot.
PTA - Why should I join?
Many people tend to shy away from joining PTA for fear of the word, "Volunteer". WE as members of the PTA are well aware of this as all of us at one time felt the same way. "Why should I join if I have no time or interest in volunteering?"
The answer is simple. While hoping more people would help with our committees and activities is part of our struggles, the main reason we ask that you join is to show support for your child's PTA which exists only for the benefit of your child.
The more people who sign up, the better our organization will be. Members do not even have to have a child in our school! Ask your spouse, friends, neighbors and relatives if they would like to help make LB Morris PTA even stronger so that we can do even more great things for your child! Each membership costs only $5.00 and includes such benefits as discounts at Fed Ex/Kinkos and BarnesandNoble.com!
And if you do have some time to spare, we would love to see you at meetings, where your input is needed to help make our PTA work better for you and your child!
