Welcome to the website of Leighton Buzzard Athletic Club.
Leighton Buzzard is a small town in Bedfordshire, near the borders of Bucks and Herts. The club has been established since 1976 and caters for anyone who wants to run from the age of ten upwards.
The club has various training nights at Tiddenfoot Leisure Centre (click here for map). The U17's main training session is at Vandyke School at 6.45 on Tuesdays and Thursdays, whereas the seniors meet at 7.15 for a 7.30 departure on Wednesdays.
The club has a thriving social side, and there are often as many people in the pub (The Grove Lock) as out running. We have numerous social events and functions as well as the annual trip to Lanzarote for ‘The Challenge’.
As a club we compete in both track & field and cross-country leagues in addition to the many road races that we attend throughout the year. It is not compulsory to compete in any of the leagues or races, although our team captains would be delighted if you did.
Whether you are a seasoned athlete who just moved to the area, or someone who just wants to give running / athletics a try then come down and find out what a nice bunch of people we are.
If anybody has any comments or requests with regard to the club or the website, feel free to drop me an e-mail at andy_inchley@hotmail.com
