Send a Cow Appeal

The send a cow appeal aims to make a difference to the lives of African farmers and their families who so often fight a losing battle with poverty. Send a cow uses gifts of livestock and training to help poor families work their way out of poverty.

For this appeal the Lazers will be runing a Bring & Buy and Cake sale on Sunday 5th February in the vestry extension at St. Mary's Church hayes (Kent)

From this bring and buy sale we raised £200. We would like to than all those who contributed to the sale by giving items or buying things. Your help is very much appreciated and will go some of the way to help the poverty stricken areas of Africa.

Operation Christmas Child

Following last years success we have decided to do this appeal for a second year. The idea behind this appeal is to give children in war torn and poverty stricken areas some kind of christmas present to give them a glimpse of happiness.

The basic idea is to fill a shoebox with little gifts for the child and then send them off. Last year we made 33 boxes and are aiming for more this year. If anyone has anything that they could give please give it to Mary or leave it in the churc porch.

Again we beat all our expectations and managed to fill 54 boxes all of which were sent to children around the world who were in need at Christmas time.Once again the Lazers would like to thank all those who helped by collecting old shoe boxes and gifts to go in them.
