My name is Laura, I have worked around and with birds since 1990. Over the years that I worked in a well known pet store, I have learned so much about our feathered friends. One thing I have definitely learned is... Not everyone is cut out to be owned by a bird.
For the most part, if you turn out to be one of the many chosen, you will soon discover that you are not the owner of a feathered friend but owned by several feathered friends. I have noticed, over the years, most bird enthusiast end up with at least 3 feathered buddies that become a very big part of ones own family.
My main intent for this website is to share the things I have learned and have experienced first hand with the birds I have and have been around, to bring you the most information that I know and can find, to promote research before purchasing, and yes, to promote Bills Pets and other Reputable Aviaries, Bird Clubs, Individual Breeders here locally and abroad. So Don't Stop Here! Not everyone has had the same experiences. There is so much more to learn and this is just a start. I have added many links to help you in your journey of researching birds and it's for the love of birds that I have done this.
With that being said, I'd like to acknowledge that most of my experience was gained while I was employed by Bills Pets Inc. in Little Rock, Arkansas and in Honor and Memory of the late Bill Robinson, I'd like to dedicate this website to help other bird lovers learn and share their experiences. Bills Pets Inc. is still in business and is currently ran by Bills son, Randy Robinson with 30+ years of avian experience, located in Bryant Plaza at 23233 I-30, Suite 30 Bryant, Arkansas and is a Quality pet store Specializing in Parrots, so if you are ever in the area, be sure to stop by and check them out.
