LVPI rules and regulations

LVPI  rules and regulations:

When conducting investigations LVPI uses the following rules and regulations.

-We do not and will not take pictures in adverse weather conditions (rain, snow, high winds and fog.)This will cause false anomalies to appear on pictures.

-No drugs or alcoholic beverages allowed at any time.

- All camera straps must be placed around the neck or removed before a picture is taken. This will avoid the strap from getting in front of the lens and creating false vortex pictures.

-Do not take pictures on dusty roads do to dust causing false orbs on photos.

-Refrain from using vulgar language on investigations.

-Survey the area before the initial investigation. That will give you ample time to set up equipment, check for shiny surfaces, and look for any manmade power sources that would create false EMF readings.

-NEVER investigate alone. This can be dangerous. Always go in a team of two or three.

-Always set up a controlled environment when possible. Monitor everything and know where each investigator is at all times.

-Always clean your camera lenses and equipment before and after investigations. Check your camera lens often during the investigation and make sure that it is not smudged, dirty or foggy.

-When doing EVP you must be very quiet.

--Always use new tapes for cassette recorders when conducting EVP. Reusing tapes will degrade any possible audio evidence.

-Stand still while conducting EVP. Do not rub or tap the cassette or digital voice recorder. If someone from the team speaks then state who it was so it will not be cosidered as an EVP.

-LVPI will not conduct seances, use oujia boards or use psychic mediums for investigative tactics. Scientific equipment will be used to document any results.

-When trying to capture EVP, always write down the natural noises you hear in the background so you will not confuse it with something later.

-Never run through a cemetery or an area that is being investigated. This will help stop any injuries.

-If an apparition is sighted, remain calm and still. Take as many pictures as you can.

-Maintain a positive attitude while investigating. Negativity produces bad results.

-Always research the history of a location.Without history there would be no haunting.

-Always interview witnesses that have experienced paranormal activity at the location that is being investigated.

-Document anything out of the unusual. Smells, feelings.

-LVPI will always look at natural explanations before determining it is paranormal. Examine every natural possibilty first. Go in with a skeptical mind but still be open about possibilities.
