Dear Friends:
Over the past couple of years, we have been blessed with the support of family and friends not only through my father’s illness and his subsequent passing but also with the fundraising efforts in his name for Dana Farber and the Jimmy Fund.
In addition to my father’s treatment, he also received incredible care from the staff at South Shore Hospice in his final days. Not once, did they ask for insurance or any payment. What I came to learn very quickly was the importance of contributions to insure that every family who needs these services will have them available. A couple of months ago, many of our family members walked for hospice. We joined thousands of others who have been fortunate enough to have hospice available during their most difficult days. The event was a great success raising thousands of dollars but it can’t stop there. The event “Lasting Impressions” featuring the Edwards Twins will be held on September 21, 2008 at the IBEW Hall in
I know how important hospice care was to my dad and my family. While I hope none of you ever have to experience them first hand, I want to know they are there if you need them. Thank you so much for your continued love and support. I look forward to seeing you on the 21st of September.
Many thanks,
Maureen
